Friends! I present to you my new album - "Spirit Lights". I wanted to recreate an atmosphere of mystery in it, to evoke in the listener a sense of penetrating beyond the visible world, of being part of the process of development, of knowing oneself and the surrounding world.

        Since the early albums of the Enigma project, I have been fond of calm rhythms, atmospheric electronic sounds combined with live musical instruments and sounds of nature. And the Eastern vocals and Gregorian chants give a special spiritual character to this musical painting.

        I started recording the album on June 14, 2021, and gradually immersing myself in the process, I realized that its story began in the distant 2017, when, isolating myself from all the processes and events of my everyday life for several weeks, I studied the island of Bali. Day after day, I would encounter peculiar passers-by who would engage me in dialogue, helping me to orient myself faster and better on the island. Sometimes the navigator would plot a route that led into the unknown in absolute darkness along a barely discernible road. And in the next moment, you would find yourself in a small village where everyone is joyfully celebrating, performing plays, and welcoming you as if they were waiting just for you :-)

        Once, lingering on the Bukit peninsula, I immersed myself in the depths of Denpasar's evening traffic jams. Overcoming the crowded streets on my moped, I realized that I had no energy left to reach Ubud. My head was buzzing, my hands were tingling, and it was clear that I needed to stop and rest. I parked my bike, took off my helmet from my wet head, and after a couple of deep breaths, I suddenly heard someone speaking and singing through a loudspeaker on the street. Quickly grabbing a recorder from my backpack and ignoring the sounds of passing cars and mopeds, I started recording. The mysterious atmosphere of that evening, the moon, my exhaustion, and the light refreshing southern breeze complemented each other so well that I simply wanted to capture the sounds of everything that was happening.

        On June 14, 2021, I had a musical draft of a composition, without clear boundaries, without a name. It lacked the arrangement and the sparks of the human soul, vocals, a voice... I started going through my recordings from Bali in 2017, and suddenly, there it was, what I was searching for - that evening, the atmosphere, the singing voice, and even the passing motorcycle in the background perfectly complemented the composition, breathing life into it. Thus, the first track, "Moonlight Chants," was born, which helped shape the entire musical concept of the album, "Spirit Lights."

        Представляю вам мой новый альбом - "Spirit Lights". Мне хотелось воссоздать в нем атмосферу тайны, вызвать у слушателя ощущение проникновения за пределы видимого мира, причастности к процессу развития, познания себя и окружающих.

        Со времен первых альбомов проекта Энигма мне нравились спокойные ритмы, атмосферные электронные звуки в сочетании с живыми музыкальными инструментами и звуками природы, а восточный вокал и григорианский католический хорал придавали особый духовный характер этой музыкальной картине.

        Я приступил к записи альбома 14 июня 2021 года, и погружаясь постепенно в процесс понял, что история его началась в далеком 2017м, когда, отстранившись на несколько недель от всех процессов и событий моей повседневной жизни я изучал остров Бали. День за днем я то встречал на пути необычных прохожих вступающих со мной в диалог, помогающих мне быстрей и лучше сориентироваться на острове, то навигатор проложит маршрут, который в абсолютной темноте ведет непонятно куда по с трудом различимой дороге, а в следующий миг ты попадешь в небольшую деревушку, где все что-то радостно праздную, играют спектакли и дружелюбно встречают, как будто только тебя и ждали :-)

        Однажды, задержавшись на полуострове Букит я погрузился в пучину вечерних пробок Денпасара. Одолев на мопеде последние загруженные улицы мне стало понятно, что сил добраться до Убуда уже нет, голова гудит, руки звенят, точно нужно остановиться и отдохнуть. Я припарковал байк, снял шлем с мокрой головы и сделав пару глубоких вдохов выдохов вдруг понял, что на улице кто-то по громкой связи разговаривает и поет. Быстро схватив из рюкзака рекордер и не обращая внимания на посторонние звуки проезжающих машин, мопедов, приступил к записи. Таинственная атмосфера того вечера на этой улице, луна, моя усталость, легкий освежающий южный ветерок так хорошо дополняли друг друга, что мне просто захотелось записать звуки всего что происходило.

        14 июня, 2021 года у меня появился музыкальный черновик композиции, без четких границ, без имени. В ней не хватало оформления, искры человеческой души, вокала, голоса... я стал перебирать свои записи с Бали 2017-го года и вдруг, вот оно, вот то что я ищу, этот вечер, атмосфера, поющий голос и даже проезжающий на его фоне мотоцикл превосходно дополнили композицию, вдохнули в нее жизнь. Так получился первый трек "Moonlight Chants", который помог сформировать всю музыкальную концепцию альбома "Spirit Lights".
